Soy Wax is Delicate and Relatively Safe, But…..Here is Our Disclaimer
1. Melting the entire top layer of soy wax then blowing out the wicks, is highly recommended to achieve maximum life and safety out of your Ol’ Factory Soy Candle. We do not recommend putting the cover on to put out your soy candles. The smoke created when blowing out the wicks will become trapped inside, causing an acrid scent when lit again. This will also burn and distort the lid.
2. Burning our soy candles for longer than approximately 4 hours will scorch the wax and evaporate the essential oils.
3. Always put your soy candle out before leaving the house, never leave a burning candle on its own.
4. If you have cats and or dogs or say, ferrets, your best option is the 11oz. Tureen or the 20oz. Tureen. These glass jars have a heavy bottom, wide mouth and are virtually spill proof.
5. Soy wax begins turning to liquid at approximately 90-100°F, meaning, that if your soy candle tips over, the wax will not burn anything. As long as its not carpet it lands on, the wax will clean up easily with warm soapy water and a sponge.
